The Sunday Times Business Club (STBC) is re-launching its web site next week at the monthly meeting of the club on Tuesday, August 31 at the Taj Samudra hotel.
The guest of honour on this occasion is Gihan Dias, Professor, Dept of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Moratuwa, and Domain Registrar/CEO, LK Domain Registry.
He will make a brief presentation on the importance of web and social networks for businesses and organisations, and also introduce the BestWeb competition for Sri Lankan websites. Prof Dias was a founder Programme Director of the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA).
The STBC has come a long way since its inception more than 14 years ago and now has developed a web site for the benefit of members.
The re-launch and discussion on webs will be followed by cocktails. Taj Samudra is the host hotel while Hameedia is a co-sponsor. |
