No sweat for Hareen

Frugal Hareen Weerasuriya gave away only three points in all three sets to breeze through to a fine win in straight sets in his match against Nisal Jinadasa at the Sunquick Open Squash Championship 2009 at the Gymkhana Club Squash Courts yesterday.

With more than 120 entry forms being submitted, the best junior talent in the country is due to take part in this edition of the tournament. The first part of yesterday’s matches were conducted with no upsets happening and the favourites going through to the next round. Matches in five age groups were conducted and the competition shown was intense.

This tournament will be conducted throughout the week with the finals scheduled to be held next Saturday.
