Moors doing well against Bloomfield

The scheduled matches of the Under 23 inter-club cricket tournament got off to a late start due to overnight rain. Play was possible in only five of the seven matches that were down to be played with all the games beginning after 11.00 a.m.
Sachindra saves Bloomfield

Sachindra Rupasinghe’s knock of 53 helped Bloomfield who were struggling on 66 for 4 at lunch to end their innings on a respectable 213 against Moors on day one of their Under 23 Division One cricket encounter played at Braybrooke Place. Moors in their turn were 105 for 3 and in a strong position with Isham Ghouse unbeaten on 59. The match will be continued at 9.45 a.m. today.
