ICASL seminar on ICT laws

 

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) in association with the Bar Association is hosting a seminar on "ICT Laws, Computer Crimes and Intellectual Property issues relating to IT” on January 20 at the ICASL auditorium from 4.30 to 7.30 pm.

The subjects to be covered are an introduction to ICT Laws in Sri Lanka,evidential value of computer evidence and related forensic issues by Attorney at Law Sunil Abeyratne, former Secretary of the Association while Intellectual property issues relating to IT, Computer crimes and related issues, E-commerce and the Electronic Transactions Act, and employment issues in an electronic environment will be dealt with by Jayantha Fernando, Consultant ICTA.

Supreme Court Justice Saleem Marsoof will deliver the keynote speech on computer and related crimes.
