Dine for a cause in Jaffna
View(s):Serendip Be The Change Foundation (SBTCF), Fox Jaffna by Fox Resorts & The Quiet Chapter (Chennai) will present Full Moon Storytelling & Dine for a Cause today, Sunday, March 1 at Fox Jaffna from 5.30 p.m.
Storytime at Fox Jaffna: Kani Thiru
South Indian storyteller Kani Thiru’s narration of Velpari in Tamil will be followed by a moonlight dinner featuring vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes prepared using organic vegetables grown and harvested by children in the programme.
The charity evening is in support of SBTCF’s flagship initiative, Education Without Hunger, a sustainable child nutrition and food security programme implemented across 25 schools and four community centres in Jaffna and Puttalam, establishing school, home and community gardens and teaching schoolchildren to grow and harvest their own food.
