SLIIT, Colombo University sign MoU

The University of Colombo entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) this week.

The purpose of this collaboration is to integrate scientific meditation research with technological innovation, facilitating knowledge sharing, exchange of expertise, and joint funding initiatives to advance the science of meditation through technological solutions.

The Centre for Meditation Research (CMR), attached to the Faculty of Medicine, explores the effects of meditation from a scientific perspective and has expertise and facilities dedicated to multidisciplinary research, while SLIIT, as a leading IT-focused institution, conducts advanced research in information technology.

The event was attended by Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, Vice-Chancellor of the University; Mrs K. C. Sanjeewani Perera, Registrar; Professor Nimal Rajapakse, Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor of SLIIT, and Professor Nuwan Kodagoda, Pro Vice-Chancellor of SLIIT.
