Japanese ambassador, Colombo Uni discuss partnerships at foreign policy panel
View(s):Future cooperation between the University of Colombo and the Japanese government was discussed between the Vice Chancellor Professor Indika Mahesh Karaunathilake and the Japanese Ambassador in Colombo Isomata Akio this week.
The ambassador attended a panel discussion titled “Revisiting Sri Lanka’s Foreign Policy” organised by the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Arts.
The meeting was attended by Professor Ken Jimbo, Managing Director and President of the Asia Pacific Initiative and Professor at Keio University, who was guest speaker on the panel; along with Murata Shinichi, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan; Professor Iresha Lakshman, Dean of the Faculty of Arts; and Dr Pavithra Jayawardena, Head of the Department of International Relations.
