INCOHST 2026 is about to begin
Nawaloka College of Higher Studies (NCHS), in collaboration with Swinburne University of Technology (Australia), is pleased to announce that INCOHST 2026, the annual inter‑school Internet of Things (IoT) innovation competition, is now open for registrations. The much‑anticipated event returns to celebrate young innovators and future tech leaders from schools across Sri Lanka.
INCOHST
INCOHST, first launched in 2018, has become one of the most exciting and meaningful events in the school calendar. It was created to introduce students to IoT (the Internet of Things) a technology field where everyday objects are connected to networks to collect and share data. Examples of IoT devices include smart sensors that can measure pollution, devices that help manage energy, or systems that automate everyday tasks intelligently.
Over the years, INCOHST has grown into more than just a competition. It is a platform where young learners turn their ideas into solutions that address real challenges in society. From smart city models to environmental solutions, students have used IoT technology to think creatively, build prototypes and showcase how technology can make a difference in their communities.
Exciting Workshop Series Across the Island
In preparation for this year’s competition, a series of hands‑on workshops will be organised to guide participants. These workshops will take place in Colombo, Kandy, Galle and Trincomalee during the month of March, bringing practical support and mentoring closer to students in every region.
All Schools are Invited to Register
All schools across Sri Lanka are warmly invited to take part in INCOHST 2026. Whether your students are new to IoT or have been exploring technology for some time, this event offers a meaningful opportunity to innovate and compete on a national stage. Schools can register teams, attend workshops and prepare projects with the guidance of a nationally renowned team of experts at the helm.
