The Examination Department has decided to postpone the G.C.E (A/L) examination indefinitely due to the adverse weather conditions, the Commissioner General Indika Kumari Liyanage said.

Earlier, examination papers scheduled for Thursday (27), Friday (28) and Saturday (29) were postponed due to the islandwide adverse weather conditions, the Department of Examinations said. The papers were rescheduled to be held on December 7, 8 and 9.

Ms Liyanage said the decision was taken in view of the widespread disruptions and disaster situations reported from several districts, making it unsafe and impractical for candidates to reach examination centres. (DW)
