Anuruddha wins sprint events at Anuradhapura Masters Meet

View(s): Veteran sprinter Indika Anuruddha won the 100m and 200m events at three important local events conducted for masters, at the Anuradhapura District Masters Athletic Championship held in mid-October. He won the Men’s 100m and 200m events in the age category of 40 to 44, continuing the form in the recent years, representing the Dehiwela-Mt. Lavinia Municipal Council. Anuruddha is the reigning Men’s 100m and 200m champion in the 40 to 44 age group at the All-Island Government Service Athletic Meet winning the events in 2024 as well as 2023. In 2024 he also placed second in the Men’s Long Jump event.
