Kingswood College crushed the hapless Kalutara Maha Vidyalaya side by 9 wickets in the Under-19 Inter-School Limited Overs Tournament encounter played at Lake View in Kandy yesterday.

The match lasted just 45.1 overs with Kalutara MV being bundled out for a meagre 71 runs in a marathon 33.5 overs after electing to bat first. Kingswood, in pursuit of 72 runs for victory, was helped by a 30-ball unbeaten knock of 45 by Chanul Kodituwakku, who also hit eight boundaries and a six. He got together with Manula Wijeratne to put on an unbroken stand of 55 runs for the second wicket enabling them to race to the target in just 11.2 overs.

A top knock of 104 runs by Pramidith Navanjana paved the way for Rahula College, Matara to record a comfortable 112-run win against St. John’s College, Panadura at Uyanwatte in Matara. Revatha MV Balapitiya, Loyola College Kochchikade, Siddhartha Central Balapitiya, St. Mary’s Kegalle and Hindu College, Colombo won their matches.
