Diploma holders to be appointed English teachers
View(s):The Education Ministry has called for diploma holders to Grade 3-1(C) of the Sri Lanka Teacher Services for vacancies of English teachers in national and provincial schools to select their preferred school.
The diploma holders are qualified to be appointed as English teachers in national schools based on the total marks obtained at the practical test and the general interview conducted by the ministry, as well as the written examination conducted by the Commissioner General of Examinations.
Preliminary steps required for expressing preference for schools and handing over appointment letters are scheduled to be held on July 29 and 31. The qualified diploma holders are informed to arrive at the ministry in Isurupaya at 9.30 am, according to the relevant date.
As arrangements are made to hand over arrangement letters on the same day, the qualified diploma holders are requested to follow the dress code of black trousers and a white shirt for males, and a white or cream sari or osari for females. (KW)
