People’s Bank honoured for Data Excellence
View(s):People’s Bank has received top honours at the CRIB CEO’s Forum and Institutional Rating Awards Ceremony 2025, held recently at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.
This event was organised by the Credit Information Bureau of Sri Lanka (CRIB), the bank said in a media release.
People’s Bank was recognised for its outstanding contribution to data quality and efficiency, securing accolades in two of the bureau’s most significant performance categories: “Maintenance of Updated Information and Maintenance of Highest Validity.”
These awards underscore the bank’s unwavering commitment to data integrity, operational excellence, and adherence to best practices in information management. Notably, People’s Bank contributes approximately four million transactions to CRIB’s central repository—representing nearly 20 per cent of the total data volume, further highlighting its scale and responsibility as a leading contributor to the national credit infrastructure.
Commenting on the achievement, Clive Fonseka, Chief Executive Officer/General Manager of People’s Bank, said: “This achievement reaffirms our commitment to excellence and our pivotal role in supporting the country’s financial ecosystem through robust data governance.”
The CRIB Awards are presented under six key categories to institutions that consistently demonstrate high standards in data submission and integrity. The dual win for People’s Bank positions it among the most dependable and forward-thinking financial institutions in the country.
