Schools urged to keep premises clean amidst rising Dengue, Chikungunya cases

All education institutions across the country have been directed to take necessary steps to keep the environment around their institutions clean to minimise the spread of Dengue and Chikungunya which has been spreading rapidly.

The Education Ministry said that with the monsoon there has been a higher percentage of students aged 5-19 being affected by the diseases.

Heads of institutions have been reminded about previous circulars on the subject.

The reminder has been sent to school principals, colleges of education, piriven and zonal education offices.
