Sri Lanka’s Dinara de Silva, who bagged the ITF Junior Circuit J30 Week 1 Girl’s Singles title last week, kept up to her reputation when she succeeded to bag her second successive title when she came out victorious in the final of the Week 2 competition played at the SSC tennis courts in Colombo yesterday. Dinara coasted to an easy 2-0 win over India’s Aleena Farid to gain a back-to-back title win. She coasted to an easy 7/3 win in the first set, and followed with an impressive 6/1 win to seal the deal.

In the boys category, in a contest between two Indian youngsters, Mahit Mekala got the better of Pratyush Loganathan, but not before undergoing some anxious moments in which he prevailed with a 2-1 victory. Loganathan made a brilliant start in the Boy’s Singles final with an impressive 6/3 win in the first set, but Mekala bounced back to record identical wins of 6/2 in the following two sets to overturn his opponent’s approach towards the title.
