Bad weather continued to interrupt the Major League Tournament for another week. However, of the matches that saw play, the pick of them was between Moors SC and Kurunegala YCC. When stumps were drawn on day two yesterday, Moors captain and national player Ramesh Mendis was unbeaten on 121, and Pasindu Sooriyabandara remained unbeaten on 168. The pair piled up 288 runs for the fourth wicket. Negombo CC’s Danushka Sandaruwan ran through Navy batting lineup, by claiming six victims.
