JKMO’s Sasaki Toshiatsu conducts four day training camp

Chief Instructor of the Japan Karatedo Maruyoshikai Organisation (JKMO) – Japan, Grand Master Soke Shihan Sasaki Toshiatsu reputed to be one of Japans’ most experienced instructors who has been sanctioned to teach Shotokan Mandatory Katas by the World Karate Federation (WKF) was at Kotawila to conducted a four day training camp for members of JKMO’s Sri Lanka branch.

The Grand master was accompanied by Sensei Ohashi Kazuyuki (5th Dan Black Belt) and Sensei Sumi Takuro (3rd Dan Black Belt).

After the opening ceremony the Chief Instructor handed over certificates awarding the rank of 5th Dan Black Belt to Shihan Dananjaya Abeywardena, President of the Sri Lanka Branch of the JKMO and rank of 1st Dan Black Belt to Rajalakshmy Murugesan, Kalshini Dhanushka Jayawardena, N L K Aruna Nishantha and Delith Pramoda who succeeded at the grading examinations held in March 2016.

Shihan Toshiatsu presented S Baluraj (3rd Dan Black belt) who has won the South Asian Open Kata Championship for the past three consecutive years with a special gift. A large number of JKMO karate enthusiasts from all parts of the country attended the training camp.
