Twenty one athletes for Turkmenistan
View(s):A team of 21 athletes will represent Sri Lanka at the forthcoming 5th Asian Indoor Athletics and Martial Arts Games 2017 which will be held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan from September 17 to 27.
The Sri Lankan contingent will include a total of 26 members including five officials for the ten-day event.
The six athletes will represent the country in athletics and wrestling, with well known names Himasha Eshan and Manjula Kumara coming in the track and field events. Weightlifting will have three athletes while two will take part in taekwondo. Four chess players are among them. The team will leave Sri Lanka on Thursday. - SP
