coach/manager to the 15th Asian Canoe Sprint Championship, which will be held in the World Heritage City of Samarqand Uzbekistan from September 26-29.

This is the first time in the history of Kayaking in Sri Lanka that a Kayaking team is competing at the international level.
This milestone occurs eight years after competitive Kayaking was introduced to Sri Lanka.

The team comprises L. Tharanga from the Sri Lanka Air Force and C. Kumara and A. Wijerathne from the Sri Lanka Navy. Mihin Amarasinghe the country’s Kayaking coach will accompany the team as coach/manager.
