WPSO, WPN and Central advance to semis
Western Province South Outer, Western Province North and Central Province advanced to the semi finals of the Prima Under-15 Inter-Provincial Cricket Tournament when they defeated Western Province North Outer, Western Province South and North Province respectively in the matches played yesterday.
A knock of 106 with 12 boundaries and a six by right hand batman Pathum Nissanka for Western Province South Outer was the highlight of the match against Western Province North Outer played at the Panadura Esplanade.
At R. Premadasa Stadium a knock of 141 by Thanuka Dabare was in vain as Dasun Seneviratne’s 96 helped Western Province North to victory while S. Tyrone’s match figures of 4 for 19 laid the foundation for Central Province’s win at Pallekele.
