Prudential women retain CASA Cup

With an unbeaten opening stand of 140 runs in just five overs, between Thilanka Abeysinghe (65) and Keshini Tissera (43) Prudential Shipping Lines (Pte) Limited defeated Greenlanka Shipping by 34 runs in the final to retain the CASA Challenge Cup for the fourth successive year at the NCC ground recently.
The tournament was played for the 14th consecutive year.

After Prudential Shipping batted first and posted a massive 140 runs, Greenlanka Shipping made a gallant effort to chase down the total but through Madhubashini Hewage and Mangalika Ranasinghe who were associated in an unbeaten 106 runs for the first wicket but fell short by 34 runs.
In the men’s final McCallum Shipping defeated Ceyline Shipping by a close five runs.
In the mini invitational tournament, South Asia Gateway Terminal defeated Colombo Dockyard by 29 runs.
