Gain an unfair advantage with an MBA from IIHE

Any business organization requires human resources that are capable of giving a competitive advantage in order to get ahead in the market place. Physical resources including technology can be acquired by competitors relatively easily. Human capital on the other hand remains the only inimitable resource that is capable of delivering a strategic advantage to the business. Hence, many organizations now look for individuals who are equipped with skills and competencies that are unique and capable of getting ahead of competition.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) offered by the Imperial Institute of Higher Education (IIHE) has been designed to equip professional managers with the necessary skills and competencies that are required to transform themselves into strategic thinkers.

The Course covers 12 taught modules which span across a gamut of subject areas which are current and relevant in today's management context. The lectures are delivered by qualified academics drawn from leading universities and experienced professionals from a wide cross section of industry.
Such balance of teaching resources ensures both a theoretical understanding of concepts and an appreciation of practical applications. IIHE also attracts a cohort of students from multi disciplinary specialties which contribute to make the learning environment both challenging and stimulating.
A notable feature of the MBA programme is the comprehensive research based dissertation that has to be undertaken by students as a compulsory requirement.

This enables the student to undertake a research project that requires an in-depth study into an identified problem in an organization selected by the student. The purpose of the dissertation is to develop a researching mind with a view to approaching problems scientifically, and finding solution which go beyond past experience and gut instinct. The students are given a thorough understanding of research methodology prior to undertaking the research and are continuously guided by a supervisor who works closely throughout the project. The result is a unique piece of work which is certainly a rewarding and life changing experience.

The MBA offered by IIHE is awarded by the University of Wales which is one of the largest degree awarding institutions in the United Kingdom. IIHE has been associated with the University of Wales since 1996.

This a pioneer institution which introduced the MBA programme in 2001 and has since produced innumerable MBA graduates who have been transformed in their thinking and actions and who have proved to be a strategic advantage to their organizations. The MBA from the University of Wales offered by IIHE has certainly been an unfair advantage to those who have earned it, in the cluttered MBA environment.

The IIHE is now situated at No.25 1/1 Tower Building, Station Road, Colombo 4 which is a convenient location with easy access from both Galle Road and the Marine Drive. The campus offers state of the art facilities in a comfortable learning environment.

A registration for the next MBA intake has now commenced. Further information can be obtained by calling Dilshani on 0772226666, Perushi on 0773371277 or Ramila on 0773428304 or visiting the IIHE web site, www. iihe.lk
