Fitness is family fun

"The family that plays together, stays together" seems a more relevant adage in today's increasingly health conscious society faced with a new set of challenges posed by the times we live in: childhood obesity, junk food, unhealthy eating habits and diminishing physical activity with more time and energy spent in virtual worlds than the real. If this trend is not arrested immediately, it could spell dire consequences for our children's health. And as parents, we must show the way.

That's why the renowned Easy Body Movement Gym, run by popular husband and wife duo Indira & Dulani Sellapperuma, invites your entire family to Sri Lanka's very first outdoor 'Fitness Fiesta & Zumba Party' on 15th October, from 4 pm onwards at the Tyronne Fernando Stadium - Katubedda, Moratuwa. With many fun filled activities packed into a dynamic day, the event promises to change the way you've thought of fitness. Indira & Dulani have made exercising an integral part of their children's life. "What many people don't realize is that going to the gym can be a wonderful way to bond as a family, while teaching our children to make fitness a way of life" the couple say.

The 'Fitness Fiesta & Zumba Party' conceptualized by J C Events, has much to offer. "We have lined up interactive Aerobics, Tai-Bo sessions and 1 hour of Zumba - a globally popular fun dance routine that helps you lose weight & stay in shape. In keeping with our belief that fitness has to be enjoyable. "And of course a rocking After Party into the night" said JC Events partners.

In addition, a team of professional Physios & Doctors from Nawaloka Hospitals will be present to share their expert knowledge on the Do's & Don'ts of physical exercise and to make the participants aware of how to be disciplined with nutritional and healthy food habits. Added to all these will be the valuable sharing of strength training techniques, the guidelines of correct exercises to the relevant sport by Mr. Jayathilake, most popular amongst the rugby players, cricketers and in the fitness world.

Been healthy and fit is a challenge in this polluted environment we live today. "It's your life", says Mr. Dayan Navamany of Medex Holdings (Pvt) Ltd., the Main Sponsor of Sri Lanka's first outdoor 'EBM Fitness Fiesta & Zumba Party'. "Providing healthcare is our passion hence we do have one stop shop for all home medical equipments" says Dayan. "Prevention is better than health for me and my Family, therefore, sponsoring events such as 'EBM Fitness Fiesta & Zumba Party' is worthwhile and we wish all the best for this noteworthy event", says Medex Holdings (Pvt) Ltd.

If you're keen fostering on a healthy family, the 'Fitness Fiesta & Zumba Party' is not to be missed!
