ESOFT offers an unique opportunity for A/L students

Here is good news to students who had sat for the G. C. E. (Advanced Level) examination this year. ESOFT Computer Studies (Pvt) Ltd., the pioneers of professional ICT education in Sri Lanka, is offering these students the unique opportunity of securing a nationally and internationally recognized IT degree.
By teaming up with ESOFT, students can read for the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) external degree of the University of Colombo, BIT external degree of the Moratuwa University, The British Computer Society (BCS) Professional Graduate Diploma in IT and the B.Sc Hons. Computer Science degree offered by the Bucks New University - UK.

These degree programmes are of three-year duration and are offered to students at a reasonable cost by ESOFT, a prestigious professional ICT education institute in Sri Lanka with 36 branxches island-wide.

Students with three A/L passes can register to read for the BIT external degree of the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC), which has earned national and international acceptance and recognition, while students with lesser A/L qualifications and those who sat for the A/L examination in 2011 and are still awaiting results can register to follow the Foundation in Information Technology (FIT) course.

In a singular achievement, ESOFT has been conducting classes consecutively since the BIT degree programme was launched by the University in Colombo in the year 2000. ESOFT has been successful in obtaining the best results for their students from the inception of the course. The Batch Tops in the Colombo University BIT external degree for the years 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 were students who had read for this professional degree programme at ESOFT.

To qualify for registration for the BIT external degree programme offered by the University of Moratuwa, which has earned a reputation for producing graduates in the spheres of engineering and technology, students need to have passed the GCE (Ordinary Level) examination with a credit pass for Mathematics followed by three GCE (Advanced Level) passes.

With the approval of the University of Moratuwa, ESOFT Computer Studies (Pvt) Ltd., conducts classes for this BIT external degree programme in Colombo and its branches Kurunegala, Kandy and Jaffna.
Students who complete the BCS Higher Education Qualification of the British Computer Society (BCS) can earn an honorary degree from the United Kingdom. They have to complete the following three different stages of the professional qualifications: Certificate in IT, Diploma in IT and Professional Graduate Diploma in IT for qualify for a British honorary degree.

The BCS has given official Accredited Course Provider Certificate holder status to ESOFT for conducting classes for its degree courses. Students who successfully complete the HND Higher Diploma from ESOFT will be able to enroll and complete the final year of the B.Sc Honorary Degree in Computer Science at Bucks New University - UK. This opportunity can also be made us of by students who had completed Edexcel HND or BCS Diploma.

ESOFT has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bucks New University - UK to offer an opportunity for Sri Lankan students to read for their BA and M.Sc qualifications.
