Amal International School holds inaugural Islamic Society Awards Day

The Islamic Majlis of Amal International School organized its annual All-Island Inter-School Islamic Day competitions on May 28 at the school premises. The event saw the participation of over 700 students from around 35 schools, which is considered a record number, with schools from all over the island including Negombo, Kandy and Puttalam.

The events included Oratory, Essay Writing, Calligraphy, a Quiz competition and Qirath. The events were held in both English and Sinhala and were divided into Junior and Senior categories. The prize giving is scheduled to be held today, June 19 at the D.S. Jayasinghe Hall, Dehiwala from 10 am onwards with an expected participation of around 400 people from over 25 schools.

British College of Applied Studies (BCAS) and NOLIMIT are the sponsors of this two-phased project while Education Times are the official print media sponsors.
