Under 23 Inter-Provincial takes off this month

Sri Lanka Cricket is making arrangements to conduct the first ever Under 23 Inter-Provincial limited over cricket tournament which they have planned to hold from September 20 to October 1.

Reliable sources said that the tournament will see six teams contesting over the 11 day tournament. The players for the six teams have not been finalized yet and will be done during the next few days.
The selection of players will be handled by the respective coaches and national selectors. Basically the team will consist of players who are involved in the Under 23 cricket tournament and aspiring young school cricketers.

Due to the limited time of 11 days in conducting the tournament all matches will be played in Colombo.
