All Island Snooker Championship to start soon

The Open Snooker All Island Championships, which attracts the country’s top club snooker players, is due to take place at the Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAC) from September 25.

The tournament will be divided in to two levels, Amateur and National, with a total of 150 players expected to participate. The winner of the tournament will be awarded the ‘AAC President’s Cup Challenge Trophy’ as well as a cash prize of Rs. 100000.

The event is set to showcase the brilliance of players such as K.H Sirisoma, Susantha Boteju, W. Weerasinghe and A. Careem. The chief guest at the opening ceremony will be President of the Billiards and Snooker Association, Shafeek Rajabdeen.
