Allianz insurance opens Kandy branch

The Sri Lankan General and Life insurance-centred unit of international financial services group Allianz, which has a combined portfolio that includes banking, insurance and asset management businesses across 70 countries, recently opened its first branch in Kandy, its sixth domestic branch.

Located in the heart of Kandy town and headed by Branch Manager Ruwan Dissanayake, the operation promises full facilities for Life and General business and an experienced sales, front office and underwriting team. According to the company's Chief Executive, Surekha Alles, the opening of the Kandy branch consolidated Allianz’s relationship with existing Kandy clientele, a number of whom already did business with the insurer even prior to the branch’s establishment. The new branch will be equipped to cater to an even larger clientele.
