Chamara burns the track in motor racing

Chamara Samarasinghe is an up and coming motor racing driver in the island. He took part at the Radella, Mahagastota and Fox Hill races last year.

He was placed second in the Sigiri Cross Rally and was fourth at the Radella and Fox Hill motor events driving his Ford Laser 1500 CC Standard, Honda 1300CC.

Twenty-one-year-old Chamara is the MD of the Group of Companies comprising ASP Knitters (Pvt) Ltd, Tex Knit (Pvt), CPS Training (Pvt) Ltd, APS Marketing (Pvt) Ltd and PKC Tex Manufacturing (Pvt) Ltd. He will participate in his first event for 2010 when he takes part in the Mihirigama Rally today (January 17) on his Honda 1300 CC, 10-12 event.
