Thomians defeat Willows CC

 
S. Thomas’ recorded a three wicket win over the visiting Willows Cricket Club U17 team from Christchurch, New Zealand in a 50 over encounter played at the BRC ground yesterday.

The visitors batting first made 240 with skipper Simon Ward making 59. The Thomians in their run chase were helped by half tons from skipper Ravi Nirrushan and Ashen Fernando to reach the target in the 48th over.

The visitors will confront a Sri Lanka Development XI at the R. Premadasa Stadium today.
