The Computer Society of St. Sebastian's College, Moratuwa held their IT Day on the October 31, as the culmination of the IT week which started on the October 28. Sponsored by Informatics Institute of Technology and Co-sponsored by Vectronics Electro Systems (PVT) Ltd, they had various programmes lined up during the week to enhance the IT knowledge of their college students.

The Computer Society has a dynamic team of members headed by Imdad Rafaideen and guided by their Rector/ principal Rev. Fr. Bonnie Fernandopulle, Priest-in charge Rev. Fr. Manoranjan De Silva and master-in-charge Mr. Damion Silva.

The Computer Society has been quite active during this year, with many ventures ranging from updating of the college website, to putting together of a notice board carrying news, articles and events related to IT. It is updated every week in line with developments of the IT world.

Aptly named 'Cyber Vision 2008', the IT day had several lectures and presentations done by professional lecturers on topics such as The IT job market, Open Source, Graphic Designing etc. Interestingly the lighting of the traditional oil lamp was replaced by a Graphic oil lamp in keeping with the IT theme. The St. Sebastian's College Computer Society webpage was also launched on this day. A quiz competition was conducted during the IT week among the students of the school, while another quiz was conducted on the IT Day, for invited schools. Prizes and certificates were given away to the winners by the Rector/ Principal sponsored by Vectronics Electro Systems (PVT) Ltd. There was a poster campaign conducted to educate the students on IT during the IT week.

There were also many other entertaining programmes lined up, in between the day's proceedings.
