No dance for Thomians this years

S. Thomas' College Old Boys' Association, regretfully announces its decision to postpone ‘Thomian Nite 2008’ due to be held on November 7 at Cinnamon Grand.

The organizing committee of Thomian Nite 2008 arrived at this decision, acting on the obligation that in the current situation of the country such an event should be postponed for better times. The committee unanimously agreed that it should act with responsibility and civic mindedness in the general interest of all. Despite the fact that Thomian Nite 2008 was a fund-raiser in aid of the Bishop Chapman Scholarships, the interests of the nation took first priority.

‘We wish to thank our sponsors, donors, advertisers and also wish to place on record our grateful thanks to Cinnamon Grand, Sohan & the X’Periments, ‘Sudu’ and Ultimate and the numerous service providers, too many to mention, who extended their cooperation, enthusiasm and support at all times’ said a spokesman from the organizing committee.

‘We are confident that all Thomians and wellwishers who would have graced this occasion, will have the personal satisfaction that the true Thomian spirit has been upheld, having the interests for our country foremost in our minds’ he added
