From a humble beginning and with the skill he acquired as chef, one of the dreams of Ruwan Hemal has been realised with the dawn of ‘Ranvil Gardens’ his own place to serve his own mouth watering menus.
Set in calm and peaceful surroundings, ‘Ranvil Gardens’ is an ideal place for parties, weddings, dinner dances, cocktails or any gatherings. Situated few metres from the Chilaw - Negombo main road in Kochchikade, 'Ranvil Gardens' has become the much sought after place for family get-togethers and office parties in the area and the calm atmosphere surrounded with total freedom is the main reason for its selection by many of its guests.

With his expertise as chef at Hotel Sapphire, Ruwan is ready to serve a variety of menus such as Sri Lankan, Indian, Western and Chinese cuisine .
Apart from 'Ranvil', Ruwan is also an award winning caterer in the Negombo area. Running his own 'Ruwan Caterers', he provides outdoor catering to any part of the country.

Having started 15-years ago, Ruwan has come a long way becoming a leader in his trade in Negombo as well as in other parts of the country.
'We do lot of catering in and out Colombo and our main objective is to give the best menu at an affordable price' Ruwan said.
'And we are not confined to a set menu but are ready and willing to adjust ourselves to the demand of our clients' he added.
It's not only what he serves but his service too was recognised by the citizens in Negombo when he was awarded the Best Caterer in the area in 2007 by none other than the Mayor himself.
The number of guests and plates are immaterial to Ruwan when he undertakes parties or weddings.
"We are prepared to serve any number from 50 to 2500 and almost all our chefs are qualified at recognised hotels," Ruwan said.
