Finals of ‘Derana Dream Star’

Derana Dream Star - the creative reality TV programme which has now gripped the country with new enthusiasm, is now in its final lap with the spotlights turning sharply on young contestants who have reached the final 22.

The viewer's SMS votes which have been a crucial deciding factor in bringing these contestants to the winning lap, will continue to remain so in the coming weeks too. With the competition hotting up, the tussle for SMS votes is also gathering momentum.

The Derana Dream Star programme, which is aimed at producing young singing stars in the 16-25 age group, has gone through weeks filtering after which the final 22 have been selected. The fate of these contestants' future will remain in the hands of the experienced jury and especially the SMS votes of the people. Those sending SMS votes in support of their favourite star should type DDS <space>SMS Number and send to 9900.

Madhawa Genegoda and Chaminda Lal Wijesuriya produce the programme while Athula Adhikari provides the music.

The Panel of Judges includes Keerthi Pasqual, Rohana Bogoda and Nirosha Virajini. Popular actor Amila Abeysekera hosts the programme that is being telecast at 8.30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
