Palaly to Chennai flight to resume this week

Flights between Palaly and Chennai are set to resume early next week after more than three years.
Aviation source said the airfares between Palaly and Chennai would be considerably less than airfares between Colombo and Chennai.
The resumption of flights and the cheaper airfare would greatly help the people of the North, Northern Province Governor Jeevan Thiagarajah told the Sunday Times.
Jaffna Security Forces Commander Chandana Wijayasundara, meanwhile, said that necessary facilities had been put in place for the resumption of flight operations.
