Minod Gamage smashed a brisk unbeaten 50 as Achievers CC beat Alubomulla CC by 43 runs to win the Kalutara District Jayasiri de Silva Memorial Trophy T20 title at the Kalutara Town Club played recently.
The 20-year-old Minod reached his half ton in just 23 deliveries hitting eight boundaries and a six to help Achievers CC reached 185 for 6 in their 20 overs. In reply Alubomulla CC were bowled out for 142 in the penultimate ball in their innings. Minod was adjudged the man-of-the-match.
