One of the strongest Industry linked MBA in Sri Lanka – The Staffordshire University MBA at Asia Pacific Institute of Technology ( APIIT) having identified the reality in the market place as early as June last year planned to address this vacuum in the market.

A Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Management Accountant FCMA (UK) and MBA Mr. WIJESINGHE  is one of the most respected professional in Sri Lanka being on the Boards of Sampath Bank (as Deputy Chairman), Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka (as Managing Director), Employees’ Trust Fund Board (as Chairman), Merchant Credit of Sri Lanka (as Chairman), Lanka Securities, DNH Financial, DFCC Vardhana Bank, Colombo Stock Exchange, and Siyapatha Finance. He is also the former Chairman and Managing Director of Dankotuwa Porcelain and his vast experience comes from the Directorships held in many Government and private sector organisations including SriLankan Airlines, MILCO, Colombo Dockyard, Sri Lanka Standards Institution, State Plantations Corporation, National Institute of Plantation Management, Maturata Plantations and Asiri Surgical Hospitals.

He is currently the Chairman of Watawala Plantations, Former Chairman of United Motors Lanka, Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, President of National Chamber of Commerce of
Sri Lanka, President of Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Quality and Productivity, and Deputy Chairman of Siyapatha Finance. He has served in many high level policy making entities like the National Labour Advisory Council, the National Administrative Reforms Council, EDB Advisory Committee on Ceramics and Porcelain and the Senior Minister’s Advisory Council on Science, Technology and Innovation.
