MoE signs Vocational Training MoUs for 13-years-of-schooling students

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with both private and government institutions able to offer Vocational Training to students who have completed 13 years of schooling in  government schools.  As a first step, on August 1, MoUs were signed with the Sri Lanka Hotel School and the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism &d Hotel Management.

In the coming weeks the MoE will also sign MoUs with the Agricultural Department and the Gem & Jewellery Research & Training Institute.

Already, several students who have completed their 13 years of schooling, are being trained in various trades, by the MoE.
