This was an outstanding achievement for AIS who competed against much larger schools and more fancied athletes of other International Schools in Sri Lanka
The Rowing Crew of AIS performed extremely well at the Junior National Rowing Championships concluded recently at the Diyawanna Rowing Compound.
Lulua Mustansir stamped her class in the Under-14 Girls Category by winning Gold in the Individual Sculls event and then pairing with Amanda Flavia to win Gold in the Double Sculls event. Lulua won her events at both heats and finals leading by many lengths over the other competitors.

The performance by AIS overall was the most outstanding amongst International Schools at this event and no doubt established its position as a force to be reckoned with in the sport of Rowing in Sri Lanka
