Lankan Govt. delegation on study tour of Pakistan Civil Service

The Government of Pakistan, through its High Commission in Colombo, organised a 12-member delegation from the Sri Lanka Government service to visit Pakistan for a 7-day study tour of the Pakistan Civil Service.

The visit starting on January 14, was organised in collaboration with Pakistan’s prestigious National School of Public Policy.

Pakistan High Commissioner Major General Dr. Shahid Ahmad Hashmat said the visit will provide a great opportunity to Sri Lankan officers to gain comprehensive knowledge about Pakistan’s Civil Services Structure and Policy formulation process. He emphasized that such visits will enhance contact between the peoples of the country and amplify the importance of the Civil Services in the two countries.

The delegation members, apart from visiting government institutions in Pakistan, will also visit Lahore and Taxila Museums, Educational institutions and the Wahgah Border to observe the flag hoisting ceremony. A meeting with high ranking government dignitaries is also scheduled during their stay.

The delegation members paid a courtesy call on High Commissioner of Pakistan, at his residence, before leaving on the tour.
