Squash – an emerging sport at Gateway
View(s):Since the establishment of the Squash Court at Gateway College Colombo, the sport has made steady progress with increased interest and enthusiasm in the game. At the recently concluded Inter Schools National Squash Championship 2018, Gateway’s Over 13 Team (Boys) comprising of Themiya Gurusinghe, Vidunraju Muralidaran, Dileeka Diyabalanage, Janindu Nanayakkara and Thenula Hennayake emerged the 2nd Runners up.
At the Air Force ‘Open Age Group Squash Championship 2018’ Gateway’s Manuth Dasanayake emerged as the Under 9 (Boys) Champion while Bihandu Nanayakkara became the Runner-up of the Under 11 (Boys) category.
