High tea and fashion with a view at Grand Kandyan Hotel

The Grand Kandyan Hotel hosted 300 plus guests to a High Tea and fashion show on February 3 at their Sky Lounge which has a bird’s- eye view of the Kandy city.“We started the season with a well- attended Christmas cookery demonstration last December. The Grand Kandyan hotel is planning another event in March that will showcase a totally different concept,” Imesha Moonesinghe, Junior Executive for PR & Marketing for the hotel said.
The fashion show at the event was choreographed by Brian Kerkovan, and presented the creations of Neroli Daniel who was showcasing her collection in Kandy for the first time. “I have been involved with fashion shows in Colombo but it’s a first up here in Kandy,” said Neroli who has also done some charity fashion shows with the Lions club.
Her labels, Lorendi, Lorendi Platinum, Nell Rose and the latest addition, a batik collection are all manufactured in Sri Lanka with fabric from countries like Korea, Indonesia and China. The Lorendi Platinum collection will be launched soon and will be made available online. Lorendi and Nell Rose collections are sold at retail fashion stores in the country, Neroli said.
