Gampaha Holy Cross College, a school making a name in the schools’ badminton arena had made notable performances which had brought numerous accolades to their alma mater in the recent past. Under the guidance of former Nalandian Mahesha Ekanayake, an international qualified coach two young lasses Dewmi Dissanayake and Dishmi Dias stole the limelight at the last All-Island Junior National Badminton Championship 2017, organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association and concluded recently at two venues – S. Thomas’ College Indoor Stadium and Royal College Sports Complex.
