The seventh Stafford Motor & Co. (Pvt) Ltd., sponsored ‘Honda’ Trophy / MCA ‘G’ division 25 Over League Tournament 2017 got off to a start, during last week-end.

Debutants, JAT Holdings and VS Information made memorable entrances in to MCA cricket, scoring historic wins over their opponents, Avian Technologies and other debutants — BPO Connect, respectively.

The opening week-end’s batting honours went to the two centurions-Tharindu Siriwardena from Maliban Biscuits (133 in 60 balls, inclusive of five sixes and 17 fours Vs. Group M Media) and Vihagan Ariyaratne from Glaxo SmithKline (110 in 68 balls, inclusive of three sixes and 16 fours)

Bowling honours was bagged by Dimo’s leg spinner, Wageesha Balagama (5-0-22-5 Vs. Kalani Cables.)

Matches scheduled for this weekend are postponed indefinitely due to prevailing weather conditions.
