Senior Scrabble Tourney on Nov. 6
View(s):The annual All Island Senior Citizens Scrabble Tournament will be held on Sunday, November 6 at the Hilton. This event,organised by the Sri Lanka Association of Senior Citizens in association with the Sri Lanka Scrabble League, is open to all Sri Lankans over the age of 50. As in previous years (this being the 17th consecutive year),the tournament will be run in two categories.
Those vying for the Championship will play with words from the Collins Scrabble Dictionary,while the others will play according to the Oxford English Dictionary for the Rajathy Kandasamy Cup.
In order to add more excitement to the days programme, there will be spot prizes for each game,and prizes for the Highest Word-score and Highest Game-score.
