Celebrating 44th anniversary of NFC
View(s):National Film Corporation celebrated its 69th anniversary in Sri Lankan cinema and also the 44th anniversary of the Corporation on January 21.
The picture shows NFC chairman Deepal Chandraratne cutting a cake while Media Minister Gayantha Karunathillake who graced the occasion looks on.
The celebration included, payment of tribute to late Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike who created the Film Corporation, launching a book ‘Jalayen Yatawu Leange Lokaya’ a book based on filmmaking by David Lean written by Pushpajith Niroshan Jayasinghe and a film festival.
