Holy Week Services through Verbum Television
View(s):Verbum Television has made arrangements to telecast all the special services of Holy Week which mark the most important and holy events of the Catholic Church — the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, on No. 31 Dialog TV and No. 93 PEO TV.
The services will be recorded and telecast on the same day to facilitate the sick and disabled devotees who are unable to go to the church to participate in the services from their homes.
The Palm Sunday Holy Mass celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ragama, will be recorded and telecast on March 29 at 2 p.m., while the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services will be recorded at Sacred Heart Church, Mattumagala, and telecast on April 2 at 10 p.m. and April 3 at 9 p.m. respectively.
The Alleluia Saturday Service will be recorded at John the Baptist Church, Nagoda, and telecast on April 4 at 12 midnight and the Easter Sunday Holy Mass celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ragama, will be recorded and telecast on April 5 at 2 p.m.
