A LESSON NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN

Recently an official of a leading sport was assaulted with a pole at a parking lot. It was naturally assumed that that the attack was due to something in connection with the sport. It was later learnt that the attack had taken place due to a secret alliance this official has been having with a member of the opposite sex and the angered party had decided to teach this official a lesson that he will never forget.

WHEN THE TIDE TURNS

A political party of a revolutionary type complained to the bribery commission about a leading sports body. At the inquiry this group was surprised when the people who supplied the information denied that they had supplied the information. This left this political group in a quandary and they are hell bent on gaining revenge on this sports body. This political group has now vowed that they will never support them in their bid to expose a certain personality. A clear case of the tide turning against this group.

HELPING THE UNDER TRODDEN

There is a law in this sport which states that those over 60 years of age will not be permitted to officiate at a certain game. This however does not apply to one official because he has influential people in the controlling body of this sport. So it looks as if there are friends at the correct spot they will be able to help the under trodden whether they are old to officiate or not.

FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY

A leading player has been heard to say that he has no interest in the World Cup but he is more interested in a competition that is being conducted in a neighbouring country as there are stacks of money to be won there. It is high time that these types of players are exposed. If they are not concerned about their own country, why should they be sent to a World Cup of this nature?

THE BIG FARCE

A very popular game has attracted 600 teams for a contest and matches are being conducted all over the island. Earlier only 150 teams took part in this contest! Officials are in a quandary to conduct this tournament as never in the history of this sport have such a number of teams taken part in a competition of this nature. Officials are even unable to give the results of the games of this contest as matches are not even played to schedule. This has resulted in fans calling this tournament a big farce.

TOUGH GOING

A TV channel that was telecasting sports is now on the verge of closing down as they are terribly short of cash to pay heavy tax that has been imposed on them. They are now turning into an entertainment channel with a lot of songs and even yoga lessons. Will they pull through this debacle?
