The occasion was a cricket match between two top teams, one from Old Blighty and the other from our own soil. While the game was in progress cricket fans were surprised to hear singing and loud noises coming from a VIP box. Later it was learnt that wine had been served to these VIPs and they were enjoying themselves to their heart’s content.

THE BIG FLOP

A big event is to be held in the early part of next month and the Sports Body that is governing all sports in the country had requested leading sports personalities to support the Big Man and had summoned them for a meeting. Even a former leading cricketer and been requested to address these athletes in order to seek their support. The proposed meeting never took place as the athletes simply refused to take part in the event.

SPECIAL AWARDS

All leading athletes who had won medals at international meets are to be given special cash awards before the big event scheduled to be held in the early part of January 2015. The meeting to discuss about the cash awards is scheduled to take place today (Dec.15). Why this sudden decision sports followers are wondering!!

THE COST OF LEGAL FEES

The boss of a popular sport has a string of legal cases against him as the annual general meeting of this sport has not taken place due to various reasons. According to people who are in the know about the dealings of this sport at the moment the legal fees stand at Rs. 6 million and it is bound to exceed Rs. 10 million.

RIVAL BODY THANKED

A sports personality whilst giving his speech at a gala sports event got his lines mixed up. He thanked a rival body instead of the body which was sponsoring the event causing a lot of heartbreak to the actual sponsors and raising a lot of mirth amongst the audience!
