The Royalists were in firm control throughout the game with their superior set of players and continued to close out the second quarter by 31 points to 24 and the third quarter 43 points to 35.

The fourth and last quarter saw the Royalists continue their dominance with superb ball control, few handling errors and a masterful display of attacking play. The Thomians on the other hand were always lagging behind and were found guilty on numerous occasions of not going in for rebounds and missing an umpteen amount of free throws and tree pointers. The Royalists who capitalized on these errors finished the game off in style recording a brilliant win.
